*Bryan Abercrombie, Partner
With over two decades of legal experience encompassing various practice areas, including family, civil, appellate, business, probate, and more. His comprehensive expertise extends throughout all aspects of domestic relations law, from the initial stages to appeals, encompassing trial, jury trial, mediation, and other proceedings.
Working under a highly respected retired probate Judge in Dallas County, Bryan handled a diverse range of cases, including family, civil, probate, and business matters. His focus gradually shifted towards family law, involving cases such as divorce, custody disputes, adoptions, and probate matters. In 2008, he achieved Texas Board Certification in family law.
Bryan worked at Cordell & Cordell, P.C. where he played a pivotal role in expanding the firm's footprint, managing the launch of multiple offices across various states. During his tenure, he became a partner, primarily focusing on litigation.
Bryan has handled high-value family cases, represented clients in appellate proceedings at various jurisdictional levels, and navigated complex business transactions, including the sale of businesses valued at over $10 million. In 2021, he achieved the significant milestone of admission to practice before the United States Supreme Court and the US Tax Court.
Bryan is a member of the Texas Aggie Bar Association and has been selected as a Super Lawyer by Texas Monthly magazine in 2021, 2022 and 2023.

jonathan “JB” bailey, Partner
Mr. Bailey has over two decades of legal experience in criminal, family and civil matters. He was born in Dallas, Texas and raised in Carrollton, Texas. He graduated from Texas A&M University School of Law.
His specialty is representing individuals accused of crimes and businesses involved in legal matters. Previously, he worked as an associate at a personal injury law firm and was general counsel for a major construction company before opening his own office. Mr. Bailey is a graduate of the Trial Advocacy College - Huntsville, Texas sponsored by the Texas Criminal Defense Lawyers Association. Mr. Bailey is licensed to Practice Law by the State Bar of Texas and Licensed by the United States Courts (Northern and Eastern Districts of Texas.
Jonathan Bailey has extensive experience in cases involving car accident victims. In addition, Mr. Bailey has handled many complex criminal cases including, but not limited to: DWI, Intoxication Manslaughter, Assaults, Aggravated Sexual Assault, Weapons Charges, Fraud, and White Collar Offenses.
Mr. Bailey’s civil expertise includes forming and dissolving corporations and LLCs; business related Federal Income Tax issues; Mining and Excavation Issues; Oil and Gas Exploration and Production; defense against Civil Lawsuits; and how to keep a civil suit from becoming a criminal issue. In addition, Mr. Bailey is proficient in Family(Divorce) Law Matters.
j.R. Johnson, Partner
Mr. Johnson is a graduate of the United States Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs, Colorado. He served with distinction in the United States Air Force. At the conclusion of his military service, he graduated law school and worked extensively in Personal Injury and Criminal both with the District Attorney’s office and as a defense attorney. His practice focuses primarily on those hurt in construction, auto, medical, and premises liability accidents. He has established a reputation as a professional advocate for his clients, willing to go to extensive lenghts to achieve the best possible outcome in each and every case.
He has a strong desire to help others, a fact that has been evident throughout his career. A graduate of the U.S. Air Force Academy and Texas A&M School of Law, his career has evolved from protecting his country from the skies, to protecting his clients in the courtroom. From pre-suit investigations and counseling, through discovery and trial, J.R. fights for every possible advantage for his clients.
gary lyon, Partner
Gary Lyon has been an attorney for over 40 years. His practice focus is in the areas of Bankruptcy, Commercial and Business Law, Banking Law, Strategic Business and Asset Protection Planning. He served as Creditor's Committee Counsel for several businesses, and as a workout specialist for several bankrupt oil and gas businesses.
He currently represents businesses and individuals with financial difficulties, including those seeking bankruptcy protection under the reorganization provisions of Chapters 11, 12 and 13 and in liquidation proceedings under Chapter 7 of the Bankruptcy Code. This also extends to handling Adversary Proceedings for his clients as well as clients for other attorneys. He also helps businesses and individual creditors to protect their rights in and out of bankruptcy. He regularly appears in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court and U.S. District Court. He is regularly called upon to be a speaker or seminar panelist discussing topics of interest to the bankruptcy bar, the financial planning profession and the accounting profession.
